Blue House "TLC" Weekend

What a complete shock for my weekend plans!

I was planning on trying on Bridesmaids Dresses and checking out Wedding Venues with Tay. When I got to Houston Thursday night Josh let me know he had taken vacation from work to re-roof, build a new porch, and clean around our childhood home. Even though most people would of passed on such a labor ridden weekend, I agreed to it. From Friday morning to Saturday night I joined Brochacho and plenty of Family and Friends to try and make the home we grew up in a little more suitable for Kyle Matthew aka #9.

I showed up early Friday morning to The Blue House, so I could ride with Brochacho to get material. I am pretty sure Josh's truck has never held so much wait. Thank the Lord he just got new tires!! What a load!!!

As soon as we got back with material Steph had to leave for a doctors appointment, so I got to spend time with Joel and Lily D when she left.

Lily didn't know what to think about being left with Auntie.

I loved on her anyways. She loved being outside watching Joel and JD play.

Joel P telling me how much he loves his baby Sister.

Joel P showing me how much he loves his baby Sister.

Joe, Josh, and DJ removing shingles.

Moe showed up with Abby before she had to go to work. Moe was as shocked as I was to see the front porch gone and the naked roof.

Jordan had a blast wheeling Joel P around in the wheel barrel.

Jordan, Joel P, and Abby being crazy kids.

Gordan and DJ removing felt. Such hard workers.

The 2nd dumpster and Josh. Yes we had already filled a smaller dumpster up.

Even Kevin showed up for the festivities! Thanks for all the help K Wayne!

Joel P, Brycen, and Dalton <3

The end of the first night of work! Josh, Steph and DJ.

Bright and Early the next morning we were up ready for day two. Josh was sure no one was sleeping past 8. Chelette, Jaden, and Sweet Charleigh showed up early Saturday morning and helped more than they should of. Star is a Warrior for sure!!

Char-Fran and her awesome Pink Blue Jean Jacket!

Charleigh and Dalton playing in MJ. Who knew 2 kids could love a vehicle as much as these 2 did.

Charleigh playing Peek-a-Boo with JD, and Dalton ready to drive off.

Joel P, JD's, and Brycen's scrap wood architecture. This was Stars great idea to keep the kids entertained!! One of the best ideas EVER!

Josh and Jay Rod trying to build the porch back.

Keith aka Papaeezy showed up later in the morning and went right to work helping Josh with the roof and porch. Keith and Josh did a great job on the porch!!

After the porch was framed and the rafters were put in place, we called it a night. Josh and Kevin went with me to Sebrinas house warming party and then to Los Arcos for a late dinner.

My sweet Sebrinas room.

Late night Mexican food.

Me and Brochacho.

Me and KeV

Sunday morning Josh actually let us sleep past 8!  As soon as I got up by 10am Josh, Dj, and Danny were already on the roof laying felt!

Josh joshing around!

The last picture I got of the Blue House before I left for lunch and then my drive back to C.C.  Its really coming along nicely! Good Job Brochacho!

Me, Kevin, Dad, Josh and his crew, Steph and her gang, and Moe and her family all met up at Goodsons Cafe in Tomball before I headed home! Home of the Best Chicken Fried Steak in Texas!

Things don't always go how you plan, this weekend is a true testament to that, but if you just let things go with the flow and not try to fight too hard you can be amazed at what can be accomplished!

Keep Calm and Carry On

During WW2, 1939, the British Government was trying to keep people happy in the British public in the event of an invasion, So they created the "Keep Calm And Carry On" poster. The poster was not popular till it was re-exposed in 2000. 61 years later it has appeared everywhere, ranging from political messages to cute slogans. The term has not been trademarked, mainly because the words are too widely used for one person to own exclusive rights.

Is it a great motivational poster? Of course, Cheer up, the worst is yet to come.

For Moe...

For Stephy...

For Mother Dearest...

For Chelette...

For All of You...

For Brochacho....

 KYLE

Welcome to the Family #9, Lil' Nep', aka Nephew!
With a name like yours, you were born to ROCK! Congratulations Josh and Ashley! A stunning, brilliant, polite, hard headed bouncing baby boy is headed our way!

Jordan was very excited it was a boy!!  He asked me if I knew what U.J. was naming the baby I told him to guess. He guessed Joshua Junior aka J.J. like Jay the Boston Terrier. I said he's naming him after his best friend, he automatically guessed Kyle. Jordan was very excited to hear U.J. was using the name Kyle.  Jordan wants his kids named Kyle and Crystal. He calls them very unique names.

Kyle: A generous, outgoing guy who goes out if his way for his friends.  Can be sweet and caring towards people, he has a laid back and calm approach,  Truthful, gullible, and lovely.  Can be a bit of a stress head at times, can also hold grudges for a long period of time. Nice to get to know, easy to fall in Love with.

-The name Kyle comes from the Scottish origin. In Scottish the meaning of the name Kyle is: Strait, Channel, Narrow.

We are both very excited to welcome Kyle Matthew Austin into the family!
Much Love from Auntie and J.D.!!

Olive You

Jordan's last Elementary class party was yesterday. GiGi and I went and we're reminded why we love Jordan so much. He's just so dang cute!! After the partay the 3 of us did some Thrift Store shopping. We made fun of tacky clothes and were amazed at the over-pricing of tacky Thrift Store items! I loved spending Valentines 2012 with Mother and Jordan! They are my life! I love them so much when we got home I made them "Lovers Pasta" for Valentines Dinner.
That's love, true love baby.

I finally got to Skype with Moe yesterday after what felt like forever since I seen her beautiful self. I am pretty sure I'm the main influence why she called in late yesterday so she could attend Abby's 1st School Party. Some moments in life are just too sweet to pass up!
That's love, true love baby.

Jaden and Charleigh Stephenson
That's love, true love baby.

"Down Time" on the patio is always a success! Koozie in my hand and C.C. cool wind in my hair. Now if only my toes and a#s were in the sand.
That's love, true love baby.

From the mouths of the ones I love

Star - "You never seize to amaze me."

Sebrina - "If your'e gonna complain about something, do something about it."

Cha Cha - "Breastfeeding is the hardest part of motherhood so far." (geez doesn't she have awhile to go)

Stacey Moe- "Mom would be so proud of me, I washed and folded 32 loads of laundry in 2 hours." (true story)

Mother Dearest - "You have a weeny horn."

My Moe

One of my favorite things to do before heading to work is SKYPE with Moe!
Our conversations vary from gossip to world news, to playing games together online.
Its always nice to see her smiling face, and for a little while it feels like we are together!
Nothing beats feeling like you're with someone, when you're actually hundreds of miles away!

My favorite days are when we SKYPE before Abigail heads off to school and how sweet she always looks. I absolutely adore the way she says "Auntie" all her spunk and attitude cracks me up and are two of the million things I miss about Lil Moe.  Little Sisters are the best (ask any of my other sisters) and Moe will always forever and ever be my FAVORITE Little Sister!

Count your blessings

GIG' EM

Thanking God everyday for what you are thankful for ain't never killed anyone. If I were you I would go ahead and give it a try!

Everyday of my life I am thankful for the amazing, beautiful, extraordinary, one-of-a-kind love everyone of my siblings has for each other. If not for our Mother Dearest we would stand alone and weak, but thanks is given because the love of a woman has taught us all how to love beyond words!
I'm thankful everyday for a supporting family who never fails!

Thank you Chelette, Stephanie, Josh, and Stacey for never allowing anything to stand between us.

With every trial we have had, we always came out "thumbs-up"!
